I’ve just learned a new experience: reading your own name in a book. Not a year book, phone book or someone’s notes. A real book. With stories in it – along with my own humble little one. On top of it my name.
Let me describe this sensation: ABSOLUTELY WEIRD.
Catchfire Press’ book launch is only a week or so old and I’m now holding their short story collection, result of their competition and, no doubt, horrendous amount of work, in my hot little hands.
The parcel arrived today and I can’t wait to spend some time on reading the collection. Weeeee (sorry, uncontrollable burst of excitement).
It’s an awesome feeling to see your name as the author of a story in a book! So proud of you!
Thank you, what would I do without your support?
Understandable! I’m in an anthology myself, but I haven’t held the physical book in my hands yet since my mum bought me a copy and lives far away. Apparently my name is on the back of the book and everything π I shall post a copy once I get to have the great moment you got to have. Congrats!
Thank you and how exciting for you! You must be absolutely keen to see the book! Yes, please do share once you’ve enjoyed your moment of glory! π
Gosh. I can’t help but dream about seeing my name and my words in print some day.
All I can say is: it’s completely possible. It’s not just a pipe dream!
I certainly hope so. π
